10 things that made me happy {Week 29}

February 25, 2017
things that made me happy

It’s been one crazy week. Personally, I’ve been struggling with some decisions. Professionally, I’ve had a suicidal client that’s taken up a lot of my time {they are in a safe place now}. I’m tired and exhausted and feel like I need to switch off but can’t. I haven’t been able to write much this week even though I’ve wanted to. But, this isn’t a time to whinge and moan. It’s time to look at the things that made me happy between 18th February and 24th February.

Going for a weekend down to the NSW South Coast. It’s my spirit place and I so want to move there some day

Attending the most beautiful wedding on the Saturday night in Kiama. I know both the bride and groom and it’s the first wedding I’ve cried at because it was so simple and beautiful and from the heart. The rain stayed away for just enough time to have the outdoor ceremony

Seeing true love between J and S — my friends who got married — I’ve never seen anything like it before.

Only gaining 100 grams from an indulgent weekend — total loss of 1.6 kgs so far

Having a day off on Monday to prep for the week ahead

Knowing I have a supportive team when I have a crisis at work

Binge-watching season 4 of Wentworth. Oh. My. Goodness!

Getting a compliment from a school principal I contacted about the work I do

Buying tickets to Birds of Tokyo

Exercising 5 consecutive days even when I haven’t felt like it

So that’s been my week. I was glad to have a glass of wine on Friday night after this one.

How was your week?

What made you happy?

Do share!

What a roller coaster of a week! I can only imagine how tough it must be supporting your client, but how lucky are they to have you in their life? You are a real life saver! Things that made me happy… My mum has been in hospital for more than 2 months in the UK and although she’s not out, she is improving – yay! I did a lot of baking and also got a new lunchbox and had such jolly fun filling it up. And I opened my books and got down to some studying which felt so worthwhile. I’m supposed to be training to be a counsellor but whether I finish the course in this lifetime remains to be seen! Hope you have an ace weekend x

What a huge week for you but good on you for finding the highlights 🙂

Good to hear of the highlights and especially that you are with a good work team and that you managed to exercise, you just did it. I was thrown to hear that the husband of a mum I have met several times but don’t know well has passed away suddenly… and felt as if I has no space or time alone… so breathe… and taking life strictly one day at a time.

That’s a heck of a week. I’m so glad your client is feeling stronger. Congrats on the exercise even though you didn’t feel like it. The hardest part is starting I think!

What a week you had! But I love that you take this time to focus on the good! What made me happy – finishing a book! The year has been slow for me when it comes to reading. Spending the afternoon with my parents while my husband is away for the weekend. Cuddling with dogs. Writing. 🙂

That looks like a super week despite its challenges. Having a wedding tug at your heart is the best feeling ever. Seeing true love is also something I would trade anything for!

You seem to have a way to make yourself happy when it gets rough. Good going.
