Bouddi National Park {Sundays in my City}

May 21, 2017

Last Sunday, I went for a short but beautiful hike in Bouddi National Park with a friend. Rain was forecast but we still decided to continue with our plan to enjoy the fresh air and be part of nature. And we weren’t disappointed. A mere thirty minute drive from my place, it is still tucked away from the crowds. Glorious way to spend a few hours while getting some exercise. Something I need to do more often. ***Linking with Claudya…

Bateau Bay Beach {Sundays in my city}

April 16, 2017

Bateau Bay beach is a 5 minute drive from my place. It’s a small beach, slightly secluded, with a national park encompassing it. When an overnight hike almost killed me

March 31, 2016

Over the long weekend, I finally went on an overnight hike — my first since the Overland track in early 2015. Sure, I was a bit scarred back then but when I did try and get to some overnight hikes, uni or else other stuff got in the way. Honest. For those who are a bit uncertain, an overnight hike is one where you hike out to the camping spot carrying all your gear, set up camp for the night…

Wordless Wednesday: Box Vale Loop Hike

September 2, 2015

A couple of weekends ago, I went on a hike after what seems like a long time! It was good for the soul and just what the mental health professional ordered. The company is always good and well, just being around nature does wonders for me. We hiked about 14 kilometres and completed the Box Vale Loop which is close to Mittagong in the Southern Highlands. It was a relatively easy walk except for one bitch of a climb that…
