Of smells and scents

Freshly made south Indian filter coffee…

The first monsoon rains on the dirt…

The salty air at the beach…

A newly opened book…

Ripened mangoes ready to be eaten…

Indian spices galore…

Dirty socks in the laundry…

Sandalwood incense…

…all transport me back to my childhood.

Of times spent with family and friends.

Of moments that seemed to be carefree.

Till we had to grow up.

What smells transport you back in time?

Do share!
