Humour Me, Myself and I

Why I need to be cloned

March 22, 2017

Do you remember many many years ago scientists cloned a sheep? I think I was still in high school then. Somehow, after cloning the sheep, I can’t remember them doing much more on the cloning front. Which is a real shame. I dreamt of a time back then when they’d discover human cloning. I always thought it’d be incredible. Not like the movies or books where our clones get revenge or take over the world but more like amazingly incredible.

Currently though, many, many years later, I’ve realised I really do need a clone. In fact, if scientists want to experiment human cloning, they are more than welcome to my DNA to start with. I’ll take one for the world. Because I desperately need a clone.

Why?

Sanch No. 1 can go to original Sanch’s full-time job and do the clinical work of seeing clients.

Sanch No. 2 can do all the administrative tasks including documentation (ugh!), stats (double ugh), attend meetings (yawn).

Sanch No. 3 can do the psychologist writing job 8 hours a week and also the volunteering role of cat foster coordinator.

Sanch No. 4 can do the psychometric testing job which original Sanch has not yet resigned from.

Sanch No. 5 can blog, engage with readers, tweet, and do other social media things related to the blog.

Sanch No. 6 can blissfully engage in creative writing on the other blog as well as in her journals. She can also work consistently on the YA novel/contemporary fiction novel/picture book/children’s book.

Sanch No. 7 can finally focus on freelance writing and pitch, pitch, pitch to magazines.

Sanch No. 8 can hit the gym and go to yoga regularly. The results will be seen in all the Sanches. She will also go hiking and camping.

Sanch No. 9 can read all the 90-odd books on the bookshelf.

Sanch No. 10 can do the boring chores of cooking, cleaning, grocery shopping but also have time to socialise, eat, play with the kitties and chill out.

So there you have it. If I had 10 clones, I’d be able to do all the things! And most importantly, I’d probably also get some decent sleep. So if any scientists are listening, I’m serious about volunteering my DNA to be cloned. I think I have enough evidence to prove why I need it.

How many clones would you require?

Do share!

That’s a fascinating thought. You have a busy life! Maybe I could do with three or four clones. But then my clones would be interacting with every else’s clone. There would be so many communication failures as one clone didn’t talk to the other – unless telepathy is included in the package.

Ha ha, I saw the title of the post and rushed right over 😉

Make ten of me too, although half of mine would just be reading books and not as active as you 😀

Never fear. Together we shall conquer this monumental task of writing/blogging and perhaps scientists WILL come and ask for us to be cloned. What say?

This is such a fun post! I enjoyed your clones chores.
I sure can think of 10 things for my 10 clones! Exercise, cooking, getting my son’s homework done would be on top of the list. Attending social ‘family’ commitments too can be done by the clone while I read, read and read some more.

Hmm I think one Janet is more than most people could handle. When I hear about how busy the hubster is at work, I’m sure he wishes he could clone himself though!

Haha wow I don’t know where to start. I’d want one that does clothes and shoe shopping for me, that’s for sure!

Oh yes, could do with at least a few of them to start with! There’s always so much to do and so little time! Can see your point. I’d be a much more contented person then and 80% of my problems would be resolved. Haha wishful thinking of course!

OMG – Well done! That’s what I need to do. 10 clones of myself. Bags not being Clone No. 10!!! #TeamLovinLife

I SO get what you’re saying and where you’re coming from Sanch! I now realize I need a few clones too. Then I could just be Leanne clone #1 who sits around reading books and eating snacks all day (the other Leanne clone can do the exercise to burn off all the extra calories!)

Fab! This as to be the best argument ever to go ahead with human cloning! I completely agree! & could do wit 10 or 12 clones myself 🙂

Hmm….let me see. I think I’d need about 8 or 9 clones and my life would be pretty much sorted! Imagine such a day, when your clones go off to your boring job and chores and you can do all the things you love instead.

I remember that sheep! What was her name? Was it Dolly?

So we already have Leanne the author, Leanne the blogger, Leanne the life coach, Leanne the magazine editor, Leanne the mumager, Leanne the mum and Leanne the wife. Plus Leanne the cook, Leanne the cleaner and Leanne the taxi driver, I would like clones so that I can also have Leanne the marketing guru, Leanne the website designer, Leanne the PR rep, Leanne the publisher, Leanne the receptionist and Leanne the illustrator.

What a great idea! I admire how much you pack into your life even without the clones!

Ha ha! What a good one. I am good to with 10 too. One that’s a good number and then I can do so many things with 240 hours a day 😉
